        AN OLD TIMER GONE.


        John Wesley Benscoter, aged 78 years next January, quietley passed away at the house of his son Harris on American Ridge Tuesday, afternoon after a lingering illness. Mr. Benscoter had been in poor health all summer and on account of his age could not stay the hand of his Master any longer.

        Mr. Benscoter was born 1827 and married his wife who survives him, in Pennsylvania. In 1885 they moved to Michigan where they lived until1886 when he moved to Idaho and made his home on American Ridge. Besides his dear wife there survives his six children, Wallace, Frank, Charlie, Nellie and Harris who have the sympathy of all in their loss.

        The Funeral was held Thursday morning from the M. E. Church on American Ridge. Quite a number of the members of the local I. O.O attended as well as a large attendace from the business men and Kendrick friends.
