| Obit of Ada (Sedore) Groom - wife of George Groom; daughter of William Sedore and Anatheris "Anna" Quigley, died 2 Sep 1938, buried in Higbee Cemetery: Mrs. Ada Groom, 70, died Saturday at her home four miles southeast of Stanwood. She was born April 12, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Sedore, pioneer residents of Stanwood community. She died in the same house in which she was born. She was married to George Groom in 1887. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Hansen of Stanwood community and Mrs. Melvin Laug of Grand Rapids; a son, Layton Groom of Grand Rapids; a brother, Scott Sedore of Morley, and four grandchildren. Funeral at 1:30 Monday at the home and at 2 at Higbee Church. Burial in Higbee cemetery. |
